The ‘OIS zam: Forum’ of the Open Innovation in Science (OIS) Center took place on 13/14 September 2024 in Salzburg.

A total of 42 participatory research projects from Austria, which are already successfully implementing the participation of different target groups in science, presented themselves at the conference. The programme was dedicated to exchange and networking. At the end of the conference, three winners were chosen by voting from all the projects presented, each receiving a prize of 2,000 euros to expand their activities. What is special is that all three winning projects are current Sparkling Science projects.

The winning projects

  • This is (not) rocket science!’ is run by the Vienna Technical Museum. In this project, children and young people explore future issues in space research and create visions from their own perspective.
